Helping Organizations Maximize Efficiency since 2015.

The Efficiency Group (TEG) is dedicated to helping organizations improve operations and functions through the practical, commonsense, modern implementation of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) tools and techniques. We have deep knowledge in process and organizational improvement, strategic planning, prioritization for process improvement, digital transformation, process and data simulations, and change management. We have a distinguished record of delivering comprehensive process improvement and change management solutions to federal agencies.

When actively supporting our customers’ process improvement needs, The Efficiency Group uses the tenets of HELIX-S: practicality, common sense, and an organization’s own people – to identify, define and implement process improvement opportunities.  These opportunities enhance organization performance, improve organization efficiency, and promote organizational morale.

Process Improvement

The Efficiency Group follows a structured methodology to ensure a thorough and successful execution of every engagement. Our proprietary approach is rooted in the foundations of Lean Six Sigma and effective project management. We emphasize collaboration and communications with organizational subject matter experts (SMEs). We employ data analysis and simulations where needed and possible. We develop clear, concise and accurate process models and documentation.  The documentation, such as SOPs, job aids, process narratives policy, and guidelines, are aimed at supporting the process adoption. Then we maintain all materials through continuous process improvement (CPI). This approach is grounded in our proprietary HELIX-S methodology.

AI Analyzer & Digital Simulations

The Efficiency Group has developed AI tools to speed up process review and improvement initiatives for government agencies. Our AI Process Analyzer dramatically reduces the time and resources needed to review process documentation and create process flow models.

Digital Simulation allows staff to see how processes work and flow.  As-is, or current state, process bottlenecks and problems become apparent without applying blame as challenges are attributed to the process. To-be, or future state, processes are simulated to ensure proposed changes deliver the benefits and improvements expected by leadership before implementation.

Digital
Transformation

Understanding and verifying the underlying process is vital for a successful digital transformation. Every digital transformation we engage in begins with streamlining workflows, eliminating redundancies, and optimizing operations. These efforts ensure the process being transformed is tailored to the current needs of the business. It is the foundation of successful digital transformation initiative as it ensures that businesses enhance productivity and deliver better customer service from the implementation of digital tools. Change Management

Change management is crucial for organizations to successfully navigate transitions, organizational transformation, IT tool deployments and much more.  The importance of change management lies in its ability to minimize resistance, maximize adoption, and ensure the desired outcomes of change initiatives.  People are often reluctant to change, which can impact the speed of deployment and the level of acceptance.

To counteract reluctance, The Efficiency Group has developed techniques that look at the People side of change, making it more palatable and accepted.  We know that people run processes; when you change a process by deploying a new tool, changing an environment, reorganizing a team, or other factor, people are impacted; that aspect must be taken into consideration. The Efficiency Group has developed a Transformation Strategy that couples Process Improvement and Change Management.

Project Management

Our Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belts with extensive experience in process improvement and project management ensure on-time, on-budget, and achievable results. Leveraging tools such as: a Project Charter with in-scope and out-of-scope activities; a Process Inventory and dashboard to broadcast the real-time state of the program; Digital Simulations to test what-if scenarios and verify ROI, ROA, and ROE. We have assisted multiple PMO offices giving them the tools to maximize their effectiveness. Contact us to learn more.
