HELIX METHODOLOGY

HELIX is a proprietary methodology that makes Lean Six Sigma easy to understand and implement in service organizations

Organizations are like living organisms. Their DNA is complex with multiple elements – functions, goals, people, systems, and data – all contributing to their growth and success.  Many organizations struggle to have their multiple functions interact effectively. They often face challenges in understanding processes, system needs, responsibilities, and data requirements. These challenges lead to inefficiencies and poor performance, impacting an organization’s ability to deliver quality goods and services in a cost-effective manner.

The Efficiency Group has developed a proprietary approach – HELIX – for helping organizations achieve symmetry and synergy among these inherent, multifaceted entities.

At its foundation, HELIX is a new approach for utilizing Lean Six Sigma to improve organizational efficiency.  Where traditional Lean Six Sigma relies on highly-trained specialists or belts, HELIX relies on an organization’s own people. We encourage organizations to invest in their people and train them in the practical, commonsensical application of Lean Six Sigma to their everyday work. With this approach, the individuals facing process challenges learn how to address those challenges and bring real, long-lasting process improvement to their organizations.  Additionally, our training includes active, real-world post-training mentoring to ensure that trained individuals can take advantage of what they’ve learned to improve organizational performance.

When actively supporting our customers’ process improvement needs, The Efficiency Group uses the tenets of HELIX â€“ practicality, commonsense, and an organization’s own people – to identify, define and implement process improvement opportunities.  These opportunities enhance organization performance, improve organization efficiency, and promote organizational morale.

Our approach

Commonsensical Lean Six Sigma

Our proprietary HELIX methodology takes the math, mystery, and complexity out of Lean Six Sigma; making  it applicable to every day tasks. We train staff to identify areas of improvement and give them the tools to make those changes a reality.

Training

Online training in Lean Six Sigma strategies delivers practical utilization and clear understanding of organizational operations, procedures and processes. Staff become proficient and put them to work everyday within their organizations.

Mentoring

After completion of the training, concepts are solidified by implementing a live project. All work is performed hands-on by staff while being mentored, creating confidence in the personnel executing the work and cementing principles taught.

Consulting

The Efficiency Group has certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt experts that can lead major programs. Our extensive experience in business process engineering delivers results.
